Target Audience
Anfeald’s Non-Entry Confined Space Rescue course, CON 901, is for learners involved with entry into permit-required confined spaces (permit-spaces). Successful completion of this course helps learners complete safe and compliant non-entry rescues.
Summary
This course provides entrants, attendants, and entry supervisors with information on rescue-related topics and refresher information on confined spaces, permit-spaces, safe-entry procedures, gas-detection, ventilation, energy isolation, and related topics.
This is classroom training with hands on practice and evaluation using the client’s equipment and an out-of-service confined space isolated from all hazardous energy. This course is suitable as both initial training and an annual refresher. Anfeald recommends annual retraining with periodic rescue drills.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, learners will:
- Explain when a non-entry rescue is required
- Demonstrate equipment set up to facilitate non-entry rescue

- Demonstrate how to complete a non-entry confined space rescue using client’s entry equipment
