Summary
HVAC technicians work in both general industry, and construction, and have unique fall exposures. This course spans construction and general industry regulations, and it targets the specific situations encountered by HVAC technicians. It provides learners with specific information on fall hazards, fall physics, selecting and using personal fall arrest systems, work-restriction/travel restraint, pre-use inspections, ladder safety, and related topics. This is primarily personal fall arrest system user training – At the end of the course, learners will understand fall hazards and the proper use of personal fall arrest systems.
Learners should bring their fall arrest equipment to class.
This course is suitable as both initial and refresher training.
