Target Audience
Anfeald’s HAZWOPER Site Worker Supplement course, HAZ 315, is for personnel who need in-person training to supplement an online course, or who need remedial skill and competency building.
Summary
This is a supplemental and semicustom course for learners who have successfully completed at least 32-hours of 29 CFR 1910.120-compliant HAZWOPER site worker initial training, and need an additional 8-hours of in-person training to meet the 40-hour requirement and meet OSHA’s requirement for providing an opportunity for learners to ask questions, discuss concepts, and practice skills. The instructor will speak with learners at the start of the class to learn what their questions and concerns are, and present material appropriate for the situation. This course is also useful as remedial training when learners have completed a full-40-hour course and need additional training to ensure competency.

Learning Outcomes
The learning outcomes for this course vary considerably based on the topics covered. Examples include:
- Reviewing chemical and physical properties of hazardous materials including the specific chemicals the employer expects the learners to encounter at jobsites
- Reviewing occupational exposure limits, symptoms of chemical exposure, and emergency procedures for unintentional exposure
- Reviewing site plans, HAZWOPER plans, and other documents
- Selecting chemical protective clothing and respirators
- Donning, using, and doffing chemical protective clothing, self-contained breathing apparatus, and respirators
- Using gas detectors
- Other relevant topics including site-specific hazards
Facility, Classroom, and Other Needs
Facility, classroom, and equipment needs:
- Comfortable seating, table space, and writing materials for each learner
- Sufficient space considering the anticipated headcount
- Display screen with HDMI input or screen and projector (let us know in advance if we need to bring a projector and screen)
Additional needs vary based on the employer’s desired outcomes. Examples include:
- Copies of your HAZWOPER plan, if available
- If this is for a specific project, site drawings and other relevant project documents to help Anfeald get learners familiar with the site’s risks
- Chemical protective clothing and respirators employees will use at the jobsite
- Portable gas detectors
