Who Is It For
Anfeald’s Qualified-Person Electrical Safety for Maintenance and Facilities, ELE 501, is for maintenance, facilities, and other personnel who are authorized-persons with respect to the control of hazardous energy, and must troubleshoot equipment, and plant electricians who require this training.
Class Description
This class provides an overview of electrical hazards, basic electrical safety requirements, safe work practices, personal protective equipment, and related topics. This class covers shock and arc-flash. This is qualified-person training for maintenance and facilities staff that maintain and repair equipment and facilities, and occasionally work on energized equipment for the limited purposes of verifying zero-energy state prior to lockout/tagout and troubleshooting equipment. This class does not cover energized work-permits, it does not cover employees who work on 600-volt or larger systems, and is not designed for employees who will work on energized electrical systems beyond the stated exceptions. This class is suitable as both initial training and an annual refresher.
