Description

This class provides participants with knowledge to help employees work as a fall protection competent-person when designated by the employer.  It includes user and inspector training followed by competent-person topics.  It provides specific knowledge for employees that must recognize fall hazards, recognize the unsafe use of fall-protection equipment and take prompt corrective actions to stop the work and eliminate the hazard.  This class is suitable as both initial training for participants that are already familiar with fall protection basics and a refresher for previously-trained competent persons.  This training is compliant with both general industry (§1910) and construction industry (§1926) regulations for fall protection training and it meets all training objectives described in ANSI-ASSE Z359.2-2007: Minimum Requirements for a Comprehensive Managed Fall Protection Program.

Prerequisites: Previous user/authorized-person training and experience using fall-protection systems is helpful.

Nominal Course Length:  12-Hours / One and One-Half Days
