Hazard Communication, Basic (COM 101)
Who Is It For
COM 101 is for people who work with or around chemicals and who require basic hazard communication training. This class provides participants with basic information on the hazard communication regulation and chemical information. It helps successful participants meet regulatory and organizational hazard communication training requirements in most industries including construction and general industry.
Class Description
This class provides participants with an overview of the hazard communication regulation, chemical classes, chemical hazards, introduces the student to chemical-safety related signs and labels, contains specific information on how to read a material safety data sheet/safety data sheet, basic emergency response procedures, and related content. It also includes Globally Harmonized System (GHS) information. This is a basic HAZCOM class for participants who require a minimum level of training on this topic.
