Who Is It For

Anfeald’s Hazard Communication for Food and Beverage Manufacturing class, COM 111, is for participants who work directly with chemicals at food, non-alcoholic, and alcoholic beverage manufacturing facilities of all types and who need hazard communication training. This class provides participants with specific information on the hazard communication regulation and chemical information. It helps successful participants meet regulatory and organizational hazard communication training requirements.

Class Description

This class provides participants with an overview of the hazard communication regulation, chemical classes, chemical hazards, introduces the student to chemical-safety related signs and labels, contains specific information on how to read a safety data sheet, basic emergency response procedures for chemical contact, a review of occupational exposure limits, Globally Harmonized System (GHS) information, with common workplace chemicals and when available, examples drawn from client’s workplace exposures. This is the same class as COM 102 except that it contains specific information on corrosives and oxidizers common to the food, non-alcoholic, and alcoholic beverage industries and it includes crystalline silica awareness for this facilities that use Diatomaceous Earth for filtration or other uses.
