Class Description

This class provides participants with an overview of chemicals and exposures common to water production and transmission work. Includes relevant chemical classes, chemical hazards, chemical-safety related signs and labels, how to read a safety data sheet, a review of occupational exposure limits, basic emergency response procedures for chemical contact, and related topics. Also includes residuals, crystalline silica, and asbestos. This is not a substitute for ANSI-compliant hydrogen sulfide awareness or state-required asbestos training.
