Who Is It For

Anfeald’s Hazard Communication with Crystalline Silica class, COM 105, is for participants who work directly with chemicals and who need hazard communication training that covers a variety of chemical hazards and crystalline silica awareness. This class provides participants with specific information on the hazard communication regulation and chemical information. It helps successful participants meet regulatory and organizational hazard communication training requirements in most industries including construction and general industry.

Class Description

This class provides participants with an overview of the hazard communication regulation, chemical classes, chemical hazards, introduces the student to chemical-safety related signs and labels, contains specific information on how to read a safety data sheet, basic emergency response procedures for chemical contact, a review of occupational exposure limits, Globally Harmonized System (GHS) information, with common workplace chemicals and when available, examples drawn from client’s workplace exposures. It covers material in a more detailed fashion than COM 101. This is the same class as COM 102 except that it contains specific information on crystalline silica sufficient to meet both the construction and general industry crystalline silica educational requirements.
