Anfeald’s Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout-Tagout) for Authorized Employees, LOT 201, is for employees who must lock and tag equipment in preparation for repair, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, and related activities.
Class Description
This class provides participants with an overview control of hazardous energy standard, hazardous energy types, energy sources, and a review of the steps necessary to complete and test a lockout/tagout (“LO/TO”) procedure. This class is designed to meet the general industry regulation, but it is also applicable to construction industry participants that must complete lockout-tagouts with respect to electrical circuits and other hazardous energy sources at facilities under construction or in a remodel. This class covers all energy sources, including electrical. It partially meets NFPA 70E training requirements and OSHA electrical safety regulations related to locking and tagging circuits. However, it Is not an electrical safety class – participants must also receive electrical safety training covering both OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E if they troubleshoot equipment while energized or work as qualified persons under electrical safety regulations.
